H.C. Roberts is the pen name for Holly Christina, who lives in Cambridge with her guitars, roses, and writing tools.

After many years as a professional musician, producing 11 albums and numerous artistic music videos, this songwriter-turned-novelist is driven by a passion for classic literature to share her creativity with the young people of NZ. Holly Christina published an innovative literary work, complete with fantasy maps and embedded songs, over three consecutive years.

 

On completion of her Harp and the Lyre Novel Trilogy, she embarked on a 25-date tour, presenting her books to schools and libraries around Auckland, Waikato, Tauranga, Christchurch, and Dunedin. The 2025 Trilogy Tour was well-received, with positive feedback from students, teachers, and librarians.

 

Aiming to encourage reading and creativity among our youth, Holly Christina draws out their imagination as she talks about world-building, character invention, and the writing process. She also demonstrates the various reading formats for her multi-sensory trilogy, while touching on its themes of tech culture, identity, climate, music, image, and friendship.
