Leonie Agnew

Leonie Agnew is an award-winning children’s author and primary school teacher.
She is the author of two picture books, five junior fiction novels and one YA. Leonie has considerable experience working with children and is available for author talks and workshops. She is based in Auckland, but available to travel and can tailor her talk/workshop to any specific needs or interests that a school wishes to address.
Leonie has won the junior fiction section of the NZ Children’s and adult book awards twice, for The Memory Thief and Super Finn. She won the Esther Glen Medal for Conrad Cooper’s Last Stand, the UK Master of the Inkpot for The Impossible Boy and the Storylines’ Tessa Duder Award for The Impossible Story of Hannah Kemp.
