Sam Smith is an Auckland-based comedian, author, TV writer, podcaster - and a former dentist who took a creative leap after an MS diagnosis in 2015. 

 

He’s co-winner of The Traitors NZ, head writer on 7 Days since 2019, and writer of tasks for Taskmaster NZ and Australia. He’s also warmed up audiences for shows like Dancing With The Stars and The Aotearoa Music Awards . Sam’s journey includes acting roles in Shortland StreetMean Mums, and voice work on Big Little Blue. He is a father of two, MS Auckland ambassador, and hosts podcasts for Blind Low Vision NZ.
